A Femme d'Un Certain Age
proving Gorgeous is Ageless...I thought as I often do
of the effortless elegance of
Ines de la Fressange
as most of you will know I adore her;
she has such intelligence and wisdom.
I love the fact that she embraces getting older.
I'm only 3-years younger than her
and it's fabulous to hear her views on
ageing and living a great life
without succumbing to fillers, botox, etc, etc...
I agree with everything she says...it's so refreshing
in this mad world of plastic.
In an extract from
INTO THE GLOSS
Ines says:
"I think it's better to keep a wrinkle
here and there; I see these bizarre faces, and after people
tell me they have had botox or fillers, I don't realize - I just find
they have a funny face. Blogs and magazines should explain
that it is fine not to do this.
You know, people are not looking at exactly how
many wrinkles you have - they don't care so much.
I am old, it will show you are not fooling anyone."
"Accepting your age doesn't mean that you don't take
care of yourself anymore.
But to accept it, it's a good thing, because everybody is
getting older after 18.
If you're going with the wave rather than against
the wave, I think it's better."
Ines....
