There are so many beautiful-colorful-sparkly-beaded-sequin-fringy-embellished dresses out there, but there is NOTHING quite so elegant on a woman as a little black dress, now is there? These are all perfect examples of that! Maybe it's because we all love what an LBD can do for any fiqure and we just feel more self-confident.

You're absolutely right Lee Ann...we all seem to feel that extra bit confident wearing our little black dresses;
so many styles to choose from for all figures and they knock spots off any little sparkly dresses for sheer elegance.

And the video you sent....I made it all the way to 45 seconds before I cried LOL!! It was absolutely beautiful...thank you so much for sharing that. My daughter is 11, she will start secondary school this September....lots of changes ahead for both of us.
More Olympic excitement today....Oh, I wish I had been a rower, such wonderful scenes, the girls were AMAZING!!! I never want it to end :)
My favourite in black is definitely Inès de la Fressange but I have always loved that photo of Marylin too. Great post !

I must have about 5 little black dresses and I adore each one. I am with Hepburn here; simple is enough for me. The rest of the radiance comes from the woman wearing the dress. Accessories? A simple strand of pearls, a pair of diamond studs or just a confident smile...yes, that is good enough for me.....Anita
