I LOVE this post, Catherine! It makes me wonder ... have I photographed my loved ones backs very often? I will remember to do so! I have taken a few shots of children walking away from me holding hands or standing on a dock fishing because it really showed the innocent wonderfulness of children. And one Autumn, when my husband and I went on a walk with another couple that are friends of our through the colorful tree-lined trails of a nearby park, I snapped several shots of my husband and his best friend walking ahead of we girls. The leaves were falling around them and it was one of my favorite photos, so yes, I see what you mean! Sometimes you don't need a facial expression to read even more emotion. I agree! That first photograph is a show stopper and the fourth.. I think the lower back is one of the sexist parts of a woman. A dress that is long, with a low cut back is a gorgeous look.

oh indeed it is all in the back! i love it when outfits play with the front and back, it is like a hidden surprise! the lace details always make it look more dreamy though!
